georgiapeach:
After a LONG DELAY...we are bringing you some more live time photos for the Mexico Leg.

At the time it seemed like too much to share live time...but we were there!

Be aware that the next segment WILL contain Finish Line info...so stop now if you want to watch tonight unspoiled.

Huge thanks to CAPER who found the clue that led us there...and to our on the ground team, and especially the all seeing MR X for two full days of live tracking for us!!

georgiapeach:
Also please remember that we did not yet know these teams by names, so they were referred to by team colors mostly. There were 5 teams racing.

--- Quote from: caper on May 15, 2018, 05:37:47 AM ---found a video (introducing location as pitstop) and a pic of poster with Jon at bellasartes but thinking may be crew again due to his location during video & lack of amazing race hashtag? https://www.instagram.com/p/Bixo8KenVKS/?taken-by=xolo21

We mostly saw 4. Apparently the first team arrived to the Mat a good bit ahead of the others. At the time there was also confusion about a possible decoy team.

Team 4 FF Aqua Backpacks
Team 5 MF 1 Black/1 White Backpack
Team 6 Asian MF 1 Black Backpack
Team 7 MF Green Backpacks
Team 8 Interracial MM Black Backpacks

So please excuse any confusion!

Teams arrived in the evening. There was the usual get the camera gear thru customs delay.

Teams then went to Revolution Monument to obtain their next clue.

ONLY to be met by an Hours of OP: Elevator opens at 7AM (Handwritten Sign)

Teams went to a local Hotel and returned in the AM for the first Clue.

They lined up in their actual arrival order from the night before.

georgiapeach:
By that AM we had a pretty good idea of the probable locations, thanks to the AMAZING on the ground team!

Up the tower to get a clue:

From Monument to the Revolution's scenic elevator https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=47ECHCY-clQ …

Then on to Coyoacan
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Du-xIfmbZsg …

ROUTE:

Monument to the Revolution elevator to Coyoacán to Central de Abasto to private  home in Condesa on Mazatlan street to Alameda Park.

Coyoacán was the face painting: Mexican Día de Muertos skulls make-up like in the film Coco

At Central de Abasto carry onion sacks and sell tacos (These two could have been Detour choices...unclear).

Then "a private home" in Condesa neighborhood. Possibly The Red Tree House ??? (based on previews this was likely the soap opera scenes)

MAP: Coming)

georgiapeach:
Coyoacán

(Gotta love the crew shirts! Can I have one??)
