Survivor NZ 2 Thailand: SHOW Discussions (ongoing) *spoilers*
SamualDude:
Back from break, it's immunity and Arun hopes today is their day. For today's challenge, 4 members are chained together by their ankles. The two on each side have one wrist tied to a pole. They must undo the knots then go through an obstacle course collecting bags with balls and chains. Once they have all the bags the fifth member will use them to make bolas and then do a ladder toss. First to get three bolas on the ladder wins. Adam, Kaysha and Dylan sitting it out for Khangkhaw.
Chani quickly get their knots and are underway but after quite a day Khangkhaw are off but Chani have a big lead as they get all their bags while Khangkhaw has 4. Arun is making progress on the bolas. Brad in no big rush for Khangkhaw as Arun lands his first bola then his second followed by his third as Chani FINALLY win immunity! Kaysha knows that Tess messed up the challenge at the start with the knots and is not happy. Kaysha says if she had the numbers it would be Tess gone tonight.
Tess is worried that Kaysha may get the numbers and Dylan is worried that he'll be gone as well as Josh tells him that he doesn't trust him. Kaysha is going to try to convince them Dylan or Tess have an idol to draw a split vote and take out Adam but her plan to convince them doesn't go well so Dylan goes idol hunting.
At Tribal Council, Dylan knows that he is on the chopping block. Dylan tells Adam that he feels Adam doesn't want to be here and Adam says he doesn't like Dylan because he is throwing everyone else's name out to save his own. Lisa calls out Dylan and Kaysha stands up for Dylan and it is time to vote with Josh being safe for tonight.
First vote Dylan, Second vote Dylan, Third vote Adam, Fourth vote Tess, Fifth vote Kaysha, Sixth vote Kaysha, Seventh vote Kaysha and fourth person voted out is Kaysha in a big shock. Dylan's face tells the entire story right now.
Next time Dylan prepares for the worst and a twist in the game sees childhood friends reunited
Musicon:
I really liked the last episode, I think it was the best so far on this version. The result didn't go my way still but at least the tribe switch gave a chance for some drama. I don't know why Eve had to go to the host to get her idol back, a cameraman could have just have given it to her.
SamualDude:
Sorry guys! Been busy but doing a quick recap for tonight's episode.
Day 16 has new alliances at Chani with Dylan and the old Chani members. Josh had been diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma about a year ago and while in the hospital bed he told his mum he'd be on this season of Survivor which is cool.
Today's reward is for Pizza Hut who is the sponsor again this season with Chani taking reward after building a bridge and a sliding puzzle.
Outpost has Tara from Khangkhaw, Arun rigs for outpost so sends Renee as they didn't want Dylan to go. Today is a color tile memory challenge for reward to take two items from the other tribe's camp. Renee wins reward and takes the tarp and coffee from Khangkhaw
The original three Chani decide to throw the immunity challenge which goes to success and Josh is shocked as he has been voted out from Chani.
Next time trust is challenged, a challenge is conceded by a tribe and a shock shakes up Khangkhaw.
Hysha:
This was a really good episode!
I was so nervous by the vote at TC, because old Chani seemed to be concerned, but thank god they voted out a Khang Khaw, so nice move!
I really do like Renee, she's growing on me.
And, what is going to happen next week? Is Tara leaving? ;(
Xoruz:
This episode really felt like a culmination of what we've seen so far: Dave & Matt's friendship, Arun & Josh's Outpost alliance, and Adam's hatred of Dylan. On paper, the elimination sounds simple with Dylan being ostracized and flipping, but one thing I really appreciated about this episode was that we saw each player look at the pros and cons of their decisions and everyone got a say. None of the votes felts out of place and we understood each player's motivation coming into tribal. (Same cannot be said for US Survivor)
