Stop being so selfish they have to make it good for the racers not just viewers!!! Elise & Bertram can't make say 48 incredible tasks and another 24 incredible concepts!!! What if there was a concert later in the day??? Its alot harder than just picking places and creating tasks!

I don't understand what you're talking about, but I can sum up my feelings quite easily.
The U-Turn no longer feels survivable.
It's a gunshot to the head. Bang. You're dead. The last four teams that got eliminated via U-Turn, I never once believed they had a chance to catch up.

I agree that the U-Turn before the detour was a bad choice but I wouldn't say it's unsurvivable. Maybe it's just editing but Trevor and Chris caught up pretty well. Seth and Olive did too (again though it might be editing). Matt and Redmond not only survived their U-Turn, but they beat several teams that weren't U-Turned. Logan and Chris survived their U-Turn placed before the detour, and what's more is that it was a single U-Turn—only team to ever survive the single U-Turn. Mike and Liz couldn't survive because they were so far back, so the placement of the U-Turn wouldn't have affected that, so even if the U-Turn had been placed after the detour and they beat Becca and Floyd at the detour, then Becca and Floyd wouldn't have been able to survive. Vanck and Ashton were going to be targeted by everyone nonetheless and from what I recall, they didn't pull off a strong detour anyways like Trevor and Chris did, and they weren't in the first departure groups, so they weren't going to survive either.

Leg 6
Had all teams been on the same flight and two teams U-Turned, this could have been the best leg of the season. The fact that four teams were a hour ahead and only one team U-Turned drew out much of the suspense. There is no incentive for teams to U-Turn when they know three teams are an hour behind.
Love the building story between Jessica & Brittany. Hoping it comes to fruition in Zimbabwe.
The return of This or That :funny:
Find it hilarious Phil points out FT&BE made him wait all night :funny:
This: Love that there were so many elements to this task. Physical, technical, and navigation. Even though the boat was a few blocks away, the address was vague enough to throw off many teams.
That: On the other hand, we have an intellectual task with so many small details and facts to remember.
FRANZ: I knew we would not get the same outcome as Big Easy, but it was still a difficult and fun task to watch. It was very easy to confuse one of the eight words and seemed harder that five letters.
The difficult tasks do help bolster this leg for me but the fact that many of the teams were never in danger bothers me.
2.5/5

LOSER: Brittany and Lucas AND Jessica and Cody - Their detour(s) went disastrous. After a failed attempt at 'That', the duo immediately switched to 'This' and while they finished the first part of the challenge quickly, they spent over an hour navigating for their clue. Upon that, they were about to fight all over again, but they worked it out on the spot. Not shabby. But the cherry on top was when Brittany was screwed off by Jessica. Jody have now developed a target on the back, granted that Jessica has lent her "kindness of strangers" spirit to Brittany twice and conned her BOTH the times. Obviously U-turn comin' their way~~ Jessica and Cody didn't have the smoothest run either. They departed on a later flight and, ended up U-turning Trevor and Chris, entered the wrong lecture hall in 'That' and switched over to 'This', screwed 2 people over in a roadblock, couldn't find a cab and ended up getting 6th place by the skin of their neck.
--- End quote ---
I wouldn't say they screwed people over, they had a bad taxi driver at one point getting to the lecture hall and then finding the park, they used the u-turn which is what it's there for, and they didn't give the full answer at the roadblock to others (well it's meant to be teams racing against each other). The incident on an earlier leg that Brittany complained about was all her own fault. If the editors are trying to build them up as villains they are doing a poor job of it.

--- Quote from: NELs on January 31, 2018, 11:12:42 PM ---This episode was OK, first of all I HATE that the u-turn is BEFORE the detour and not AFTER it nowadays. It leads no suspense to the teams when they race, because they know to do both detours.
--- End quote ---
Plus it was done after split flights, so some teams never had to worry anyway.

In response to Kristi and Jen saying they liked the U-Turn spot during the leg: if I was racing that leg and was on the first flight I'd quite like where it was at that moment too :funny:
