The green screen with the superimposed location images was as much a matter of necessity since TAR 30 was greenlighted, casted, organized and filmed on such a compressed schedule, and post-production had less than two months to have all the episodes be edited, music scored, chryons imposed, and opening credit sequence edited. I'm not sure they would have had time to separately film all 11 teams in a home location, especially since Cody and Jessica only has about a week after the BB finale to prepare for leaving for TAR filming.

TAR29 (and 26 for that matter) was able to film the newly formed teams for the opening. It doesn't have to be at home. I don't even think any of the recent seasons had teams at their homes. Probably all filmed in the same place as the pre-show interviews and stuff anyway.

69-74 of the season preview has the teams running out of the Hotel ibis in Tangier. It's just outside the airport, so they must have been housed there the evening they arrived from Antwerp, and released at the same time.
