TAR 30 Location wishlists and Unsupported speculation
Caelestor:
We're looking at a 22 day race. I'd guess the route would be a reverse TAR 22:
Europe (4 legs): Iceland, Belgium are the first 2 legs. The Netherlands is right on the border to Antwerp. Germany logically follows afterward.
Africa (2 legs as usual): South Africa is overdue. Durban is a nice destination.
Asia (2 legs): Southeast Asia or India.
Oceania (3 legs): A combination of Australia and Fiji.
Leg 12: USA west coast, probably SD (close to LA)
claude_24hrs:
I expect another European leg in the Mediterranean after Belgium, it would be as follows:
Update after leg 3 confirmation
1. Reykjavik, Iceland
2. Antwerp, Belgium
3. Tangier, Morocco
4. Belgrade, Serbia
5. Cape Town, South Africa
6. Delhi, India
7. Taipei, Taiwan
8. Cebu (City), Philippines
9. Geelong and Queenscliff, Australia
10. Melbourne, Australia
North America -> Europe -> Africa -> Europe -> Africa -> Asia -> Oceania -> North America (5 continents, 10 countries and a rough 38,000 miles)
South Africa will have two legs that follows a tradition of double African legs in previous seasons. Australia will also have two legs within Melbourne area and surroundings.

I don't think you know that. I think for 30 we may have a longer route.

Claude, it is interesting you have put down the Philippines in your route. I know you are from there, but isn't the Philippines quite dangerous now?
Maanca:
One thing that's pretty likely, yeah, is if they started in New York, for the final leg to be in the LA vicinity. Has been the pattern for 19, 20 straight seasons now. Must save a little money in the budget to start and/or end near home base.
Of course, I will be greatly pleased if they break this tradition :)
