TAR 30 Location wishlists and Unsupported speculation

That the reason in my repeated previous posts, we always have two African legs, but two separate nations (one in Morocco and the other in Zimbabwe). Have only four legs to go (not counting the finale) once leaving Zimbabwe.

Here's my possibilities:

Chiang Mai, Thailand (1)
Phnom Penh, Cambodia (1)
Siem Reap, Cambodia (1)
Penang, Malaysia (1)
Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (1)

We would probably avoid typhoon affected areas in parts of Southeast Asia and Japan and we might get to see Taiwan for leg 9 (see post above for the sponsorship), that the first half would get New Taipei and the other in Taipei.

Oceania has not visited since season 22 and have to lean Australia as the last country.

Bourkie was right in small towns near Melbourne that could possibly not want there. Geelong and Port Campbell (Great Ocean Road) would better to host the first Australian leg, and Melbourne would be visit for the second Australian leg, as well as the penultimate leg before teams would head to LA area by October 25th (arrival would be the same day in the morning, LA time).

Zack.:
mid-to-late October is a very good time for Fiji plus there's a convenient nonstop flight from Nadi to LAX since I'm being realistic about End City.  :)

on the topic of 'being realistic' I can't see them skipping China again so perhaps something like

legs 7, 8 - Harare or thereabouts, Zimbabwe
leg 9 - China (Xi'an maybe  :colors)
leg 10 - train ride to somewhere else, China
leg 11 - Fiji
leg 12 - LA or somewhere nearby

Just by checking the number of options, Taiwan (and Australia for that matter) seem like a better fit for the start of the race, where they can easily get 11 teams on two flights but I wouldn't be surprised to see either.

Might as well get to the bottom of the mystery, this will be my wishlist:

Leg 1: Iceland
Leg 2: Belgium
Leg 3: Morocco
Leg 4: France
Leg 5: France
Leg 6: Czechia
Leg 7: Czechia
Leg 8: Zimbabwe?
Leg 9: India -> Nepal
Leg 10: Nepal
Leg 11: Thailand or Taiwan
Leg 12: USA

OR

Leg 9: Malaysia
Leg 10: Australia
Leg 11: Australia
Leg 12: USA

--- End quote ---

Leg 7 remains unconfirmed right now.

It's possible, though. If we have one leg  between legs 6 and 8, then we missed that leg. so Zimbabwe is confirmed as Leg 8. My speculated guess is that Legs 9 to 11 may be SE Asia -> Oceania. Why not go to India or Malaysia for Leg 9 and then get to Australia Legs 10-11? No more Indonesia, please.

Nepal might definitely be on the cards. Phil might be able to convince his bosses this time. Nepal will be awesome imo! Such a peaceful place.
