Can you scouters please explain to me how the skiers got ahead in a boat ride when yall reported that jody and the debaters beat the skiers in the kayak challenge and said they had kayak problems??
--- Quote from: graytex on October 28, 2017, 05:22:27 PM ---Here is some information on the "jump" comment. The racers left the kayaks via zodiac boat (Pier 40/South Beach Harbor/AT&T Park). They arrived at Pier 15/Exploratorium approximately 1 hour later. During this 1 hour (maybe at the 45 minute mark?) I overheard one of the waiting production staff say, "The first team just jumped." That was all I heard and no other context. So wherever this "jump" was, they had to be able to get from Pier 40 to Pier 15 by boat with the "jump" in between. The quoted picture of the skiers was taken at Pier 15 when they got off the boat and they don't look wet.

Because either they travelled faster or did the task faster of course. Placements can change at the drop of a hat.
And the "kayak problem" was a guess because they were seen just waiting at one point. In hindsight, it is possible they were either waiting for the umpire or their zodiac pickup.
Aprilrose:
Context of Willie Mays and the kayaks: The water on the other side of the right field fence is called McCovey cove, named after Willie McCovey, a hall of famer, & team mate of Willie Mays. Home run balls over the right field fence land in McCovey Cove, and people really do rent kayaks there and hang out to fish out home run balls from the water.

Just based on the 2 videos posted to YouTube and Instagram Stories, the clue picked up in front of AT&T Park/Willie Mays Plaza asked teams
How many career HRs did Willie Mays hit? = 660
They then had to go to Pier 40, hop into a kayak and paddle themselves into McCovey Cove to search for three baseballs with the numbers 6, 6 and 0. Those were the baseballs needed to be given to the umpire.
