Little bit of a stretch but there might be another reason for Phil to do that. IE one of the other teams was disqualified.
Or possibly because the location of the mat was compromised so early...

I was on mobile. I thought I saw the pic with only Phil without the mat. I sled the photo to see the rest of it, and there it is! :o I really wonder what happened to them. :torche
MM teams don't always make it to the finale, but MM teams being in the finale happens more often than having FF teams in the finale. With that, I'm glad the skiers made it in! What I think happens the most is MF teams making it to the finale. Was there an instance where there were zero MF teams in the finale? ???

That makes me a disappointed route with one new country appeared in the race. With some of overused countries and France should be omitted after last visited two seasons ago.
