TAR Canada 5: Speculation & Discussion of SPOILERS

Also, despite the U-Turn, my hunch is the Ottawa Ontario/Gatineau Quebec leg when they get back might be another NEL. Being the capital region, the locations seen, CTV Twitter actually inviting people out, that leg is likely going to be the bread-and-butter of the Canada 150 theme (the leg that makes them talk about being patriotic)

Not a kind of leg I'd expect an elimination on.

The history of Thai spottings in American TAR is indeed scanty:

Season 26 - just one video of teams at Patong Beach during the evening, but no photographs of them racing in daytime Bangkok (just at Suvarnabhumi Airport after the fact)

Season 19 - zero photographs whatsoever, just random Tweets in/around the Phuket area (see footnote)

Season 14 - photographs of the Phaya Thai Palace PitStop, but none of the teams racing through BKK itself

FOOTNOTE: Curiously, Australia versus New Zealand did have images of its teams doing tasks in Thailand (Leg 3 of 10) uploaded to Instagram months before airing.

Agreed on the upcoming leg in the capital being a Final Six non-elimination, the precedents being the very first Nova Scotia episode as well as the one in the third season with the Magdalene Isles.

We actually had extensive pics in Thailand...but not all photos can be shared for various reasons.

Maanca:
This raises a possibility for the F4 in Sault Ste. Marie leg that went nearly undetected :)

Maybe they flew into Thunder Bay and took a bus the 8 hour stretch around the head of Lake Superior. Such a bus service exists. Not exactly a highly populated highway, hence no sightings. Sault Airport does not fly from Regina.

2 hours north of Sault along that highway is a town called Wawa. The most well-known landmark being a giant statue of a Canada goose. One of our national symbols.

Thanks a bunch.

Wondering if the elimination sequence below will hold for the rest of the season:

7th - the Dhallas or les Girls
6th - the Dhallas, les Girls, or the Richardses
5th - the Dhallas, les Girls, the Richardses, or the Cavaleris
4th - surviving team from the above four
