The participants on the show signed up to spend a year in the Scottish wilderness setting up their own civilization. Ratings were dismal and channel 4 cancelled it in August after 4 episodes. Nonetheless, the producers kept filming right up until a few days ago despite not being aired and about half the cast quitting. Channel 4 says they are planning to air the rest of the shows at some future date.
