Some Amazing Race Canada participants just happened to be rapelling down the outside of the Calgary Tower while we were there... This is also how ------- wanted to get down instead of the elevator. The production staff said she had to wait until she was bigger...
The pictures don't seem like a team; if it is its a MM team

Hi, just saw your message now (1 May). So the TAR was out on Frame Lake which is a small lake right by downtown Yellowknife. They were out there for about 6 hours doing some promo stuff. They had the racers doing some riding on ATVs while a helicopter with video camera made passes over them. Around noon, and during the only time I wasn't in my office watching) they took off racing. I don't how they did the start, but they started in the middle of the lake and came running up towards the downtown core. People in my work watched them run past our lunch room. From what I've heard they had to race down to an island on our big lake (Great Slave Lake) and then from there to the airport.

where they started was very close to the Heritage Center. The Center is built right on the shore of Frame Lake and all the initial activity took place within a few hundred meters of it.
