I just went to buy cigs down the street I'm staying on and they were filming the amazing race. I used to really want to go on that show but I've never seen more exhausted emotionally wrecked people ever trying to carry 20 clay pots down a busy road. Plus I can't believe they are still making that show.

Are we sure Laos is real? It seems odd that they'd go all the way across Asia from Tel Aviv to Laos, then even further back the way they came to get to Rome, especially since the route is heading back towards Zanzibar and India anyway. (Based on HaMerotz's past approach to routing - no real random sidetrips, no repeated countries - I would guess the route will include Korea and Canada later on.)
