Finally, I get to watch TAR in peace, but I always thought of the show whenever I took a sip of sparkling champagne at the event last night.
LEG 6 (Zimbabwe --> France) EPISODE REVIEWDrink: Champagne from last night's party
Without even the slightest hesitation, we were smacked in the face with another bungee swinging Roadblock in Zimbabwe! This episode sure started off "swinging". (input bad pun laugh)
1st ROADBLOCK: (Who wants to give Batoka Gorge's lesser known cavity a chance?)
I really don't see the point of this task other than to promote the FitBit. However, I enjoyed the view from beneath the bridge. Next, please.
1st ROADBLOCK SCORE: 6.5/10
And parallel to TAR1's first episodes, everyone was immediately en route to Paris and then on a train to another aviation service. That was probably more transportation shown than TAR22's Swiss train-mania.
2nd ROADBLOCK: (Who is ready to mispronounciate every word?)
Hearing the leniency the judge gave for atrocious French grammar was almost horrifying (Happy Halloween?

). But I kind of expected that when the words were void of all accent marks. Other than that, a very basic, high-flying - yet cringeworthy - double Roadblock.
2nd ROADBLOCK SCORE: 6/10
Justin & Diana kept a giant lead ahead everybody else until here: (points to map) Also, I loved how everybody went pass the White Phantom at the front of the walkways.
DETOUR: (Go Rappin' or Get Crackin')
This Detour kept reminding me of scenes from the Mr. Bean's Holiday Vacation movie from both of these options.

Finally, French receives some justice from this leg with a rigorous language lesson. Although the music video editing was a bit much, I loved how teams were able to struggle with the pronunciations. I am surprised some of them didn't decide to shuck seafood with their "butchering skills" from the previous task.

Speaking of that, I would have loved more crab shucking scenes. The edit was kind of bias toward the rapping Detour.
DETOUR SCORE: 9/10
And another Switchback Pit Stop after going to Pont Alexander III, the Arc de Triomphe! And hold on a second... the leg isn't over again?
OVERALL: 8/10
