TAR 27 Ep 4 LIVE SHOW Updates & Commentary!
Jobby:
To me, I think it's the battle between the two strongest team and I need time to come to terms with it.
Some part of Justin doing the alliance talking and such didn't show the worry/fear that there's a chance he might get U-TURN. I'm sure he's afraid it might affect them, and that's why he's constantly talking about it.
Not to talk about Tanner and Josh, VERY SMART PEOPLE, directing all the hate to Justin/Diana so that people forget that these two are a threat as well -_-
I agree that the Roadblock is indeed fascinating and FINALLY, teams are talking about how amazing the race is etc... but omg, it being overshadowed by the entire U-TURN drama is what annoys me.
I am okay with the mid-leg HoO because it changes things up and since this leg is a KOR, it doesn't really affect the last place team and made it unfair for them to catch up. But putting a HoO plus a U-TURN, on a leg that doesn't eliminate a team... omg, too much unexpectancy and I think I need to come to terms with it too. It ensures that teams don't expect they know what's happening.. But I wish it's the other way round (no offence to Justin and Diana), but I think it would have been good edit/drama that Justin kept on talking about how he knows the race.. then all these actually happened to their team instead. LOL :funny: (Of course he wouldn't.. since any TAR fan would know that it's better to use the EP for a task later on in the leg...)

I didn't get the other teams' utter shock at Tanner & Josh using the Express Pass when they did. Like, it wouldn't have been a fail if there hadn't been an equalizer. Otherwise, they could have very well been able to U-Turn Justin & Diana even if they wouldn't have been eliminated. But the show showing every team gasping in horror about the EP was really odd.

"In the history of TAR, if you U-TURN a team behinds you, it never works out"...
Justin, have you watched TAR 18? -_- Kent and Vyxsin's U-TURN on Jaime and Cara?
It sucks that such a magical moment of flying over Niagara Falls gets destroyed by the U-TURN drama.
And Tanner and Josh. Skipping such an amazing Roadblock? Omg, when teams get obsessed with something they make really stupid decisions huh?

I agree Tanner & Josh definitely missed out on a great Roadblock, it was not a smart move. I know that they should have used their Express Pass sometime later in the leg. We viewers don't know what it is like to be in their position. It was their decision and they want to get any means to be ahead of the pack. I still root for them. :yess: At least they used their Express Pass for "strategy" rather than not using it using it like Jessica & John in Season 22.

After watching the ep, it wasn't that bad. But maybe because I have lessen my expectation A LOT after reading this thread. The greeting was nice, the RB was so cool and the Wood Detour is pretty good. It's only the golf or whatever it is Detour that was just stupidly easy and super IMBALANCED. The fact that the U-Turn is put behind this wasn't helping either.
I also hate the fact that they implicitly force teams to give money to charity at the Pit Stop? Like, what? How about they handle it like the one in Season 19 while teams earn money from the actual task before give it to the orphanage? Or like the one in Season 24 where teams make a toy from RB before giving to the kids? Force them to give their personal money is just stupid and awkward. :res:
HoH during the middle is okay for me since it's KOR. But 10 minutes different time for departure? Really? How about 15 minutes apart for each 2 teams or something? Because it made the flight and the RB super pointless.
georgiapeach:
Teams have NO personal money. They only have the money given for each leg or what they saved from the previous leg.. So they were required to turn all that over, but they get $65 for this leg.
Remember the Leg one $$ for the orphanage in Season 19 that all the teams screwed up on? That mistake is what got Ethan Z out first...
