TAR 27 Ep 4 LIVE SHOW Updates & Commentary!

<< < (27/37) > >>

TARUSAFan:
Another underwhelming leg in a nice country all because of the drama  :(

Platrium:
After rewatching the episode, I noticed some things.

The croquet detour was not mentioned as anything related to Zimbabwean culture. Maybe a brief description from Phil would make this somewhat better, but the detour was really imbalanced. Denise & JE arrived at the detour in last, yet they finished 3rd by doing the croquet detour. ChacAttack were doing fine on the other side of the detour, and they were the 3rd or 4th to start it, yet at the end of the episode, they weren't done with the detour yet. On a somewhat unrelated note, ChacAttack's reaction to Texas using the EP was :funny: for me. The detour imbalance is I think the only thing I didn't like from this episode. The episode with all the drama was really good! :funny:

Tanner & Josh gave a confessional before leaving for the detour. They said that their new plan was to give it to the team next to them, so I'm wondering if they'll be waiting at the pit stop for that one team. ???

On other confessionals of Justin & Diana and Tanner & Josh, both teams said that they'd use the U-turn on each other when they get the opportunity to on the next one. (Spoiler alert)Show contentI can't wait for the U-turn in India! :hearts:

I also thought that Logan & Chris weren't getting enough screentime, but I must've disregarded Logan's continuous blabbering on Chris. They seem to be working fine despite that though. :funny:

RaceUntilWeDie:
I actually loved the drama? But I agree, stop focusing on just THEM two. We ARE shown what happens to the other teams, but only when they make errors... i.e Jazmine & Danielle... it would be nice to see some funny/lol moments from them but we're stuck seeing them get lost to the Roadblock which was a good and bad addition to the episode imo.

I don't know... the drama in TAR 20 was more fun to watch. Brenchel and Vanessa/Ralph still had their moments, that's probably why. There's nothing redeeming about Texas and the Green Team (though, I do like Texas... sorry don't hurt me  I NEVER like M/M teams but I like them a lot for some reason.. probably because they're the voice of the audience... hate Justin).

What's really dragging the season down for me is the TASKS. They're so generic and boring and it doesn't help that the Detours are incredibly unbalanced. I'm sorry I mention TAR 25 like all the time but they had: the punting task, the sheep task, the Denmark Detour, the Morocco Detour, the knights/glass task... just to name a few. These tasks just feel so uninspired!

gamerfan09:
Brenchel and Vanessa/Ralph>>>>>>x100000000 over the rivalry on 27.

TAR20, even though the rivalry was there, at least the other teams were still there rather than the constant focus on them.

NMC:
I'm pretty much the opposite from almost everyone else here.  I thought the first half of this Leg was awful, but once they reached the HoO it became great.  Absolutely loved Tanner & Josh totally wasting their EP.  :yess:

I LOVED the idea of having the U-Turn at the Pitstop, and the unexpected KOR was a great addition.

The thing that annoyed me most though, was the all the time spent on showing us this rivalry between Tanner & Josh and Justin & Diana, and their whole U-Turn Strategy, for it to amount to absolutely nothing.  :groan:

They also spoiled the outcome of Tanner & Josh not U-Turning Justin & Diana, when it showed one of them saying in their confessional (I think it was one of their confessionals just after getting the clue for the Pitstop) - "The next time the U-Turn shows up we're gonna use it on Justin & Diana."  So it was obvious they didn't use the one on this Leg.

And, once again, unlike almost everyone else, I'm finding this Season extremely boring.  I really don't care for the Teams.  :'(
There were 5 GREAT teams this Season for me, and 3 of them we're the first 3 Eliminated.  The other 2, Chris & Logan - Who's constant bickering is starting to annoy me, and Cindy & Rick - Who are now the only team left that I genuinely want to see do well.

The Drama doesn't interest me a great deal either, for the simple fact that its ALL to do with TeamTexas Vs. GreenTeam.  blahblah   :gaah:

Basically, the last 20 mins or so of this Leg is the best thing we've got all Season.  I'm really hoping this is the start of it picking up, because I really haven't been enjoying it so far.  :'(
