Here is the viewpoint represented by the middle pane; the clubhouse is right next to Sao Conrado beach at the bottom of the hill. If you zoom in you will see the door they were standing at when they got the bad news.

I think the only thing we lacked for Leg 2 was the other Detour; here is the suggested route from Google from the antique shop to Plaza Seeber.

Some of the streets are correct, but here's the rute they took:

Defensa St - Estados Unidos St. - Ingeniero Huergo Ave. - Eduardo Madero Ave. - Córdoba Ave. - Leando N. Alem Ave. - Del Libertador Ave. - Figueroa Alcorta Ave. - Sarmiento Ave.

* Cinacina Estancia I think we had everything else.

* Knife Edge Bridge
* Shoestrings Backpackers lodge
* Victoria Falls Hotel
* Rose of Charity I didn't find the Big Five Co-op; wherever it is, it's tucked into an "office park" with some auto shops.
