I thought that they shot those clips during their breaking time after first leg in Japan.

It wasn't normal to film that part for the intro after the Race, but just the blind date teams makes sense since the blind date teams didn't meet before that start line. And they had to find somewhere generic enough to pass for the same areas used for the other teams before filming.
