Previously on The Amazing Race Latin America...

Five teams traveled to the stunning Galapagos Islands to face demanding challenges. They submerged intro the depths. Showed they knowledge about a trascendental personage. And contributed to reforest an endemic species.

Argentineans Javi & Nico confirmed to be a team to be afraid of. Colombians Martín & Jenny raced a leg full of adversities but their faith moved mountains.

Today the race arrives to the most important resort of Ecuador. Teams should be coordinated, narrow their aim, and stay up on this leg of The Amazing Race.

Intro.

Alenaveda:
Unspoiled paradaise of crystal clear waters, the El Garrapatero Beach is one of the favourite destinies on the Galapagos Islands. From this place will the 5 remaining teams pursuing the goal of winning the prize of 100 thousand dollars.

Javi & Nico depart in first place.
RI: make your way to the Seymour Airport and flight to Guayaquil. Once there go to the local bus terminal and board a bus to the city of Salinas, located in the Santa Elena province. After arrival, travel on foot to the San Lorenzo beach and search for a marked stall and the next clue. You've got 50usd for this leg of the race.

At Guayaquil, Javi & Nico are the first to get a cab to the bus terminal. Dina & Christian in second taxi, and the bros-in-law in the third.

Argentinean friends say the enjoyed the Galapagos leg, althought they would have liked being there a little longer.

Christian know where are the ticket offices at the bus terminal and tells Dina to follow his lead; but helping him to see the departing times.

Juan & Ceci get the fourth cab.

In the bus terminal, Christian & Dina take the lead, purchasing first the bus tickets. Javi & Nico are with them and secure places in the same bus.

JC & Gio arrive to the terminal, but they're provided with tickets for a different bus; and when they reach the platform the first one is gone with only Ecuadorean couple and Argentinean friends on it. Once they boarded their bus and leave the terminal, they say that there's only a 10 minutes difference between them so they can catch up the leading teams.

On the taxi, father and daughter talk about how the race is becoming more intense, and how are narrowing the margins. They also talk about the Colombians not being eliminated on the last leg.

In last place, Colombian couple pick a cab at the airport and is on their way to the bus terminal.

Juan & Ceci reach the terminal and book their tickets on a direct bus. Jenny & Martin arrive minutes later, getting the tickets. They try to beg people on father and daughter bus to give up their seats so they can travel with them, but unsuccessfully. They have to wait for the next one that depart five minutes later.

On the road, second bus (JC & Gio) surpass the first one. Bros-in-law make jokes about Christian face when this happened.

Jaime introduces Salinas: named as Salinas due to be an endless source to salt; this resort in the most important and visited of Ecuador. Today this city will be a witness of the tenth leg of The amazing race.

JC & Gio arrive to the Santa Elena Terminal first, and make a transfer to a local bus to reach Salinas. Minutes later, the teams of the second bus do the same on another bus. Juan & Ceci reach the terminal, but when they try to stop this local bus, teams on it tell the driver not to wait for them and keep going. Eventually they find another one.

Bros-in-law finally arrive to Salinas at dusk and start making their way on foot to the beach. Almost at the same time, Colombian couple find the local buses at Santa Elena.

Christian & Dina and Nico & Javi are also at Salinas, and run together looking to the street vendor. The same that JC & Gio locate, only to face an HoO: 11.00am-5.00pm.

Christian & Dina are having an argument about the place they should have dropped from the bus, at the beginning of the jetty or in the middle. And it's a bad one... She shows him Javi & Nico stretching and tells him "There is strength in numbers, that's why we never win, because of you". He replyes saying it's because of her; because we always do what you want to do, not what I want to do, you think of yourself as a diva.
