Alenaveda:
Known as the most distant point to the center of Earth, the Chimborazo volcano welcomed the teams on the 6th PS of the race.

Javier & Nico depart in 1st. place.
RI: Make your way on taxi to the Riobamba Bus Terninal. Once there, travel on bus to the city of Cuenca; then make your way on taxi to the San Blas Park and find a Claro tablet with the next clue. You have 110usd for this leg of the race.
They think they will travel on the same bus with Christian & Dina and Jenny & Martin.

The Ecuadorian friends in 2nd place. She wants to catch up friends to travel together and then trick everybody to leave first the bus. She says "Soy el diablo" (I'm the devil).

Bros-in-law start in third position.

Nico & Javier at the bus stations. Their bus departs at 11.00am. When Christian & Dina arrive there, they're informed that there's only 15 minutes till the bus leaves.

Jenny & Martin depart in 4th place. At the same time, JC & Gio reach the terminal and while looking for the ticket office the other two teams board the bus. They manage to catch the bus too; so the first bus depart with 3 teams on it.

Colombian couple arrives to the terminal right after the 11 am bus has left. In confessional they say that they were detained by a police officer asking then some data. They rid of him quickly, but when they reach the ticket office the seller informed that the bus left five minutes ago; however, he tells the driver to stop close to the terminal to wait for them. Jenny & Martin pick a cab and run to the bus. They talk about the instructions of the RI. Finally they see a bus waiting, but when they're about to jump in, the driver says that his destiny is Guayaquil. So they decided back to the terminal to board the next bus. They also expect not to be penalized.

Chilean married couple depart in fifth position.

While travelling back, Jenny & Martin see the right bus going the opposite direction, and tell the cab driver to pursuit it. They follow it a little while and the cabbie stops ahead of the bus, make it slow down while Jenny steps in front to stop it. So they finally board the bus with the other three teams.
When teams see them, Nico says "I can't believe it!". Martin explains what happened, while Dina & Christian faces aren't precisely showing happiness. Martin says if the penalty comes, it would fine, if not, it would great.

Juan & Ceci depart in last place.

At the bus terminal, Stefa & Felipe know that the next bus leaves at 12.00pm. So they have to wait one hour. When father and daughter appear, they move trying to hide from them. Both ended in the same bus.

Alenaveda:
First bus arrive to Cuenca.

As always, Jaime presents the city: Called the "Athens of Ecuador", arts and sciences metropolis, the city of Cuenca hosts a great cultural diversity and a preserved colonial architecture; and receives the six teams that still stay on the competence.

All teams run to the taxis and go to the park. Jenny & Martin leading the pack at the Route Marker.
RI: Find people on the street and persuade them to weight in until reach 1.000 pounds or 450 kg. Once done, they will receive the next clue.

Bros-in-law second to arrive with Nico & Javier right behind them. Christian & Dina last of the group to get there.
And the madness start trying to find people.
When colombian couple ask for persons to weight in, they quickly assemble a line of 15.
Basically the tactic here was to gather anyone around the park and bring them to the scale location and start weighing.

On travel to Cuenca, Juan & Ceci have problems because they're boarded the bus without an assigned seat, so they must change places as the bus starts to complete.

JC & Gio firsts to complete the task.
RI: make their way on taxi to the Oro Verde Hotel and sign up at the registration book. Signing times will establish departing order the next day.

Colombian couple second completing task; but are the first to find a cab.
Javi & Nico in third place; and they also get a cab before bros-in-law!
JC & Gio start to argue.

Alenaveda:
Back to the race.

Bros-in-law argue because they didn't see the cab the Argentineans boarded.
Meanwhile, Christian & Dina finish the task.
Finally, JC & Gio find a taxi. Gio talks about the difficulty of finding a cab in Cuenca on a Sunday evening.

Colombian couple first at the Hotel, but their driver don't stop in front as they asked him and go to a near roundabout to let them on the other side.
Argentinean friends register first at 4.59pm.
Bros-in-law cabbie also surpass the hotel entrance, but they make him stop and cross the street. They check in second at 5.00pm.
Colombian couple (after (:;) to the driver) register in third at 5.01pm; and Ecuador friends in 4th at 5.10pm.

The second bus arrives, and the two remaining teams race to the route marker.
Chileans find the tablet in 5th and Mexicans in last place. They start to collect people to complete the task.
Father and daughter end the task in 5th place and jumps into a cab. Married couple are the last to complete the task. They argue about where to find a cab, losing time.
Juan & Ceci register at 7.09pm and Stefa & Felipe at 7.17pm.

Alenaveda:
Next morning at the hotel. Javi & Nico pick the next clue from a desk. It's a Detour.

In this Detour, chosing between FLOWERS and MURAL will allow them to demonstrate their artistic skills.
FLOWERS: teams must travel by taxi to the "Plaza de las Flores" to do a floral arrangement as the same of the reference.
MURAL: teams must travel on taxi to the "Plaza del Otorongo" to paint a mural as the same they have as a sample.
Two additional notes:
1. "If you change sides, you must travel on foot from one location to the other"
2. CAUTION, BLIND U-TURN IS COMING.

Javi & Nico choose to to Mural. The same election do JC & Gio.

Funny thing, the bros-in-law recalling every thing they did until that moment that they never did previously in their lives, so they can bring out their inner artists.

Colombian couple opt by doing Flowers. Talking in the taxi about the upcoming U-Turn, Martin says that they will use it on Christian & Dina, if they have the chance, and regrets not having a marker to write "Cordially yours, with love, the Caribbean shark" :funny:

Ecuador friends also choose to do Flowers. Dina feels that it's going to be a great day for them.

Nico & Javier arrive to Mural. Minutes later do it JC & Gio.
Jenny & Martin reach the location of Flower. They start to work on the arrangement calmly until they see coming Christian & Dina.

At the hotel, Juan & Ceci choose Mural. The same as Chilean couple.
Felipe says in the cab that being returned by Mexicans would be part of the game, but that if they surpass Juan & Ceci and arrive first to the U-Turn, they will use it on them without hesitation.

In both Detour, the two teams on them are working fast to complete them.
In Flower, both arrangements are not good according to the judge. When Dina ask her what's wrong, she says "it's horrible" :lol: .

On Mural, both teams have almost three quarters of the job done.

At the other Detour, people recognized Dina and started to cheer for her and put pressure on the judge to approve their arrangement. And when Colombian couple calls the judge to see their work, the wind throws everything to the floor. They fix everything, and again when the judge go to see it, the wind throw it for the second time; so they have to start from scratch. That allow the Ecuadorean friends to finish the detour on first place.

RI: travel on taxi to the "Parque de la Madre" and look for a CNT tablet with the next clue. (And allow me to add: BLIND U-TURN AHEAD).

Martín & Jenny complains with the judge cause she says that their bouquet is "destroyed".

Alenaveda:
The race continues...

Martin says that the situation is unfair, that they have spent 1 hour. But they have no option but stat doing it again.

In Mural, Argentineans says that they were too meticolous so they lost time. They call the judge and are ok.
Juan & Ceci arrive there while JC & Gio are still painting! JC says that an artist can't be limited by time... :lol:

Christian & Dina arrive to the U-Turn. Toya says that any team can use it to make another team perform the other side of the Detour; but they bypass it telling that they can't use it :groan: ... so they pick the tablet with the clue.
RI: make their way on taxi to the Circo Social.
(Note: that's where the SB is located).

Only after Jenny starts to crumble, the judge on Flower gives her approval to their arrangement.

Nico & Javier opt by not U-Turn anyone.

Ecuadorean couple reach the Circo and find the Route Marker:
RB: WHO'S READY FOR THE SHOW?
Who performs this RB should demonstrate acrobatic skills. Team member must climb the acrobatic cloth and do four figures: the house, the bed, the star and the box. If it's done correctly, racer will receive the next clue.

Christian says "China, you're ready for the show, you're a circus girl". Then he also explain that she's an olimpyc gymnast, so she must do it well.

At Mural, Chilean couple arrives and start to work on painting. Wow, JC & Gio just finished and call the judge, who approves their job.
