It's Time To Stop Calling Jet & Cord Homophobes

<< < (5/16) > >>

SamualDude:
It's NOT ok to use a homophobic slur, I don't care the situation. Jet should have known better.

--- Quote from: Tallguy700 on July 19, 2014, 07:33:14 PM ---Nonsense. If you're last in line you're risking being the furthest back in business class, which means possibly being the last to hop in a cab or catch transport, so D&J were cutting in line to also try and get an advantage, which was further boosted via upgrade. And Dan and Jordan explained it enough to know what they were doing, even saying "There's a nice little line". Also, sleeping after a full day of exhaustion? Come on, and if they were awake enough to see J&C there and put there bags there does not matter. Also, being cautious while accepting help isn't a bad thing, and tbh "not caring" just means they didn't want to get too invested in an alliance in order to avoid being backstabbed, which they were and Marie thought it was enough of an issue to point out that you never really can trust Afghan. The moral of the story you ask? Look what happened.

So its perfectly fine to call a homosexual person a slur because they cut in line? That's just ridiculous.

--- End quote ---

Were mocked also.

--- End quote ---

Mocking is socially acceptable, or at least moreso than slurs.

The Afghanimals were going to U-Turn Brendon & Rachel but decided to U-Turn their strongest competition because of what happened to Jamal's knee. That's not back-stabbing, It's a smart move. They never said to the Cowboys that they wouldn't U-Turn them.

Weren't supporting Brenchel either though so theywere hurting all 3 sides.

--- End quote ---

They did what's best for them though.

lol @ this deviating from the homophobia argument.

--- End quote ---

Still backstabbing and I'm not the origin of the deviation.

Backstabbing is a part of the game.

Leo & Jamal never said they wouldn't U-Turn Cowboys to their faces.

And if so it's still a game and people aren't going to be nice and pansy to each other because that's boring. See: TAR24 alliance.

Also you're the owner of the thread so

--- Quote from: Tallguy700 on July 19, 2014, 06:40:48 PM ---People, there is no way Jet called Jordan a fag during Leg 12 in TAR 16. Dan and Jordan had the infamous interview on Realitytvworld and Dan specifically said "Yeah, Jet hates gays."
--- End quote ---

http://www.realityblurred.com/realitytv/archives/the_amazing_race_16/2010_May_11_dan_jordan_jet_homophobic

Wasn't leg 12 of TAR16 ja but he still said it...

--- Quote from: Tallguy700 on July 19, 2014, 06:40:48 PM ---Now, for the record, Dan vaguely said something Jordan did on the race must have caused this: Yes. ofc they did something to the Cowboys, they cut them in line.
--- End quote ---

I use slurs when people cut in line in front of me too!!1! ?!!?!? You cannot be serious.

--- Quote from: Tallguy700 on July 19, 2014, 06:40:48 PM --- and acted like hypocrites after the race by saying in the interview it would not have hindered any performance, since "My brother has this magic ability to make friends with people he meets",
--- End quote ---

I don't even know what to say to this...

--- Quote from: Tallguy700 on July 19, 2014, 06:40:48 PM ---and vroom, to first class they go.
--- End quote ---

This didn't happen because of cutting in line, this happened because Dan & Jordan are better than the Cowboys and know how to get off a plane quicker.

--- Quote from: Tallguy700 on July 19, 2014, 06:40:48 PM --- Also, cutting in line is extremely rude, which Jet and Cord were always polite, so I don't think it's wrong of him to be rude back, after all, treat people the way you want to be treated.
--- End quote ---

Lol. Okay. I want to be treated rudely, so I'll use slurs. This doesn't make sense. If the Cowboys were truly GOOD PEOPLE etc w/e, they wouldn't use slurs which would show that they want to be treated politely. And it's a game for money, and people are going to do vaguely unethical things while they are there. If the Cowboys did it you probably wouldn't be bitching about it...

--- Quote from: Tallguy700 on July 19, 2014, 06:40:48 PM ---It has nothing to do with a homophobic nature, it's just about payback, and to hate the Cowboys for such a reason is unfounded, and that's why I'm posting this.

--- End quote ---

Yes, yes it does have to do with homophobia. It has to do a lot with homophobia and if all of America is going to worship them it's kinda good to not have those people spewing homophobia out of their mouths.

Also that's not the only reason to hate the Cowboys. They are also:
-Boring
-Boring
-Still Boring
-Ridiculously Overrated
-Annoying
-Boring
-etc forever

--- End quote ---

This was before I remembered the interview, doesn't matter it happened after the race which I corrected. I'd make a big deal myself, I'm generally polite myself, being rude is still rude. And payback isn't specifically homophobic, they were **** on so did the same. Talking about character is deviation btw.
