AMAZING RACE MOVES TO FRIDAY NIGHT 8-9 PM
purefluff:
It's right before Shark Tank, which has been in the same time slot (successfully) for a few years now. Still, it does seem like it's getting buried. Sunday nights now officially unwatchable on CBS.

It's official. With this time slot, ABC is now going to win Sundays. I'm sure the Scandal rip off is gonna tank. Shark Tank and TAR fighting is not good. Hopefully it does miracles for the show or the next season will be phenomenal enough. :(
TAR is a show I hold near and dear to my heart (one of the reasons I got into reality tv watching in the first place), and seeing it in this state is horrifying :/
Mister RC:
Madam Secretary getting canned might be the best news for TAR. OTOH, if it does well, maybe they'll move it to a spot previously held by another cancelled new show. Either way, it could create the path to get TAR back to Sunday, which is important (in terms of a 26th season); Undercover Boss returns later on and might end up in the Friday 8PM slot.
Too soon to tell, but what an awful move. Not shocking at all IMO, but not great. Fridays in autumn are pretty big for football. Not NFL, but a couple big time football games (on ESPN and FS1 mainly). For High school football, it's not a TV hit, but a lot of families that are fans of the show might be occupied with their kids Friday football activities.
Finally, if you thought a pre-emption for the ACMs were bad, if TAR is on Fridays in the spring, well, it'll be rather difficult to find an alternate night during two consecutive weeks of NCAA Tourney action, including Thursday & Friday nights. I guess we'll see; they almost had the show's 6th season airing first-run episodes on a Saturday a decade prior, but made the move (to Tuesday back then) at the last minute. For the survival of the show, it would be nice if they did the same thing, but I doubt it.

Lets hope for the best :(

:groan: OMG, this is the "kiss of death" for TAR. Friday night is where shows go to die. :ascared
Isn't Friday night "date night"? Talk about kissing-off the 18-26 demographic, not that they had any significant share of that market. Oh well, there's always the "granny factor". :funny: Maybe they can save Phil from oblivion. Can't really complain, 25 seasons was a good run. Guess Jeff Probst @ Survivor gets the last laugh. He truly is the sole survivor. (:;)
