The place is the same. The angle where pics were taken from are different. Check the position of the white cloth. In cowboys pics is behind them. In the other one, is ahead of the person who took the pic.

For anyone who is unsure, the pit stop location is being used to conduct the post-leg debriefing interview of the teams after they check in. For whatever reason, production chose that very public venue to film the interviews. (Phil also interviews teams on the mat, but the debrief interviews are the ones we usually see in an episode or as an insider video posted after the broadcast. The bright white lights and reflective white sheets are used to make sure the Racers are not in shadow during the recording of the interview, moreso with the use of HD.

Think about this, all post leg interviews are conducted in a private area. Why would they set up an interview in a very public place knowing full well they would be seen by TAR detectives? My theory, Brenchel are a decoy. How better to throw off the trail then with disinformation or trickery?
