Not super exactly though! They went to Cabo da Roca (via Cascais by train for some teams) which is in Sintra municipality, but still 45min by bus away from Sintra town itself.

Tought about it, but think it will not happen... Even though next to Portugal there are zones from Spain were few people live, and few people tweet, so it could be still a chance for them to not go spoiled.

Don't say no to Spain just because one person tweeted. They have been to big cities where we haven't gotten any tweets. It's not a matter of population and internet access, it's more a matter of people just not caring to report it or not really knowing what's going on.

search the possible towns/location. Use keywords such as filming/cameras/backpacks/race also.
While Twitter is all powerful (and by extension Instagram)...it is not everywhere. Don't ignore the old standbys of flickr, and picasa!
Facebook is much harder to search than before, "amazing race" is nearly useless, so be creative. And if anyone has a good tool for that, do share!!

With teams being spotted in Santiago on June 14th and Lisbon on June 15th, I think it's safe to assume that Portugal would be Leg 3
