Although Jason & Amy are from Boston, there was never any indication that they had any connection to the marathon.
Michael from Michael & Scott in this Season (TAR 25) was the closest to any team at the Marathon. He was off duty, and saved a little girl IIRC? ???

Actually, Jason & Amy are from Providence, Rhode Island. They are Boston Strong charity advocates. :) And Michael & Scott were both indeed part of the rescue services during the Boston Marathon bombing.
