Tokyo is beautiful in the spring with cherry blossoms in bloom. Hopefully they can take a hi-speed rail to Sapporo and then fly to Busan (recommended) or Seoul the next leg.

Yes that is a definite possibility and perhaps onwards to Europe through Russia.

If cost is an issue I don;t think Japan would be a good destination. Its expensive.

If TARAussie can fly to South Africa from Australia, I believe in them flying to Japan as I have read they have similar booking prices. Read it on a flight site, but not sure if it's respectfully true or not.

I think the start line and/or the finish line should be the tallest peak of Australia. Mt Kosiosico (spelling is probably wrong)
