Where John and Jess and Dave and Conner are talking, they look like they are waiting for something, so it's possible...

Cheateau's theory may very well be correct and the pieces are coming together!
We saw that the 2nd team from flight 1 would get the spare EP from the team that won it. So JJ should give it to Connor & Dave.
HOWEVER, JJ will realise it was a dumb pact and they won't be playing it strategically by giving it to Connor & Dave.
So Connor & Dave are furious that they don't get the EP so Dave fakes his injury to get it off them straight away.

It's pretty interesting! Its must be a good episode. I feel sorry for Dave.

Ain't nobody got time for a 4-hour penalty when almost half of the sandcastles are already knocked down. Even if you didn't take the penalty, it will still take less time to knock down and rebuild them. Forget the pact, I'm worrying about myself.
