--- Quote from: theschnauzers on October 14, 2012, 08:29:28 PM ---This was the finished Phil mentioned in some pre-season interviews about two teams racing to the mat neck-and-neck, and one team went left and the other team went right at a fork, and that made the difference.
Gary and Will have been very lucky, but history suggests that at some point their luck is likely to run out.

--- Quote from: Jimmer25 on October 14, 2012, 08:06:15 PM ---I'm still unsure if I liked the train in the middle of the leg. (Kind of) makes the Roadblock unimportant. It seperated the teams, it also did helped the drama in the double U-Turn since it basically came down to the bottom 4.

--- End quote ---
Without the train ride, there wouldn't be a reason to use the U-turn because (on paper) the RB was "easy". How many plate-breaking shots were shown? Not that many. The RB was already misplaced to begin with (serving Sumatran cuisine in Java... :res: ).
If the RB was in the same town/city as the Detour, we wouldn't have the scene with the top 4 of the 5 teams making a pact not to use it, whilst the bottom 4 are strategizing because they know they're behind.
