TAR 21: Gary Wojnar & Will Chiola "Best Friends/Substitute Teachers"

There was one thing they said in the episode of their elimination I could not believe. They mentioned their comback as the greatest comback ever. If these guys are "superfans", how could they say something as rediculous as that. There have been other combacks that could be considered greatest (Jet and Cord, Brian and Greg, etc...). Their comback was somewhat impressive, but obviously not the greatest.

Jet and Cord comeback is "the greatest comeback of TAR history". From almost eliminated to first place in the following leg, with SB, RB and Detour included.

I believe their's was the best, just didn't want to offened any cowboy haters. Though you got to admit, how could Gary and Will say their comeback was the greatest ever?
Mug Costanza:
I'll agree that it wasn't the greatest comeback ever (because Brian & Greg's comeback after flipping their car is the best), but I think it's better than Jet & Cord's in Malaysia. Gary & Will were on a train three hours behind the lead teams, fell to last place getting out of the train station, and were the only team to complete both sides of the Detour, and they still escaped elimination. How is that a worse comeback than Jet & Cord, who were bunched on the same flight as everyone else and were never at any point in risk of being eliminated throughout the entire leg?
Best Loser:
Jet & Cord's comeback is less impressive when you keep in mind that they were equalized with the rest of the teams at the beginning of the leg, their speedbump didn't take much time, and they were the only team to do the much faster detour option. I'd say Brian & Greg's and Uchenna & Joyce's are much more incredible. Also, I'd take that "Top 10" video from last season with a grain of salt; after all, what'd they say was the saddest moment? The Slave House or Auschwitz? No, it was that a certain team didn't win.
But this thread's about Gary & Will, who should have lasted longer. I think their elimination also some-what proves the preplanned-ness of the NELs. I mean if I ran the show and rigged the eliminations, after a finish like Leg 3, I wouldn't want the team that barely survived to go home the next leg.
