They could do a leg with that. There's a city in Nepal, close to Kathmandu, which does not allow any kind of vehicle. So walking is the only way to go around.

Only problem is I doubt a finale will be held in Nepal.

I said, they can do a leg. Not a finale.

Mug Costanza:
The finale of TAR2 had a LOT of running. Between searching for clues in San Francisco and the epic run to the finish line, Chris & Alex and Tara & Wil had a lot of long footraces all throughout that finale.

WHY GOD , WHY THEY STILL LET TAXIS BECOME PART OF THE FINAL LEG??????????????????????????????

Don't you guys think is unfair? Like , Gary and Mallory , Jaime and Cara , Jeremy and Sandy (i think) , Jill and Thomas ( i think) , Art and JJ...
They all could have won if wasn't their taxis!!!

Declive,

I had said it before, but I cannot remember on which thread and when: The reason that self-driving is not allowed in the design of the finale by World Race Productions is simply safety. Unlike situations in various Amazing Race Australias and other Asian Amazing Races, the finish of a U.S. Amazing Race almost always (only exceptions AR7, AR8, AR18) involved at least 4 time zones (and typically many more) and 3,000 miles (and typically much longer). The fatigue factor from the race means that teams would be at risk self-driving.

Luck should not be part of the final leg...

Bad sometimes meaning crooked.  I don't see why they don't check which taxi drivers they use beforehand as well, to make sure they aren't just there to swindle money out of racers.
