Re: Stacking and such:

I'm going with the apples are stacked up in the car. There may be some rule with the apples stating that they have to remain stacked while searching through them (i.e. not spilled out on the roadway, etc)?? Nary seems very hesitant to open the door or do anything lol.

And it's weird (to me) that the Oil Detour is just simply named 'Oil'....what would be the name for the other Detour? Apples? Fruit?

theschnauzers:
There was a season where one team had won a Fast Forward with another team during an Intersection period, and then won an individual Fast Forward on a subsequent leg. (Oswald and Danny, season 11, legs 8 (Poland, during an intersection) and leg 10 (Hong Kong.)

I'm surprised this wasn't mentioned (or I didn't see it in this leg.)

In any event, the show has never had an intersection with an odd number of teams; it would put a solo team at an advantage or disadvantage, depending on the circumstances.

I'd be surprised if there's a second FF this soon if there is to be a second one this season.

As to the helicopter, er may not know why the helicopter shot is in the promos, but it did occur to me that teams might have had to ride in a helicopter before or after the helicopter task. Haven't they done something like that before? I can visualize it (Argentina or Brazil or Guam or Hawaii in an early season, perhaps?) but I don't have time right now to wade through to look. But I do remember something like that.

I think we probably have at least one active route marker task in here somewhere; and the possibility is that the waiting team member at a roadblock gets a helicopter ride. They've done that sort of thing already. And from the preview for the season, there's a hint of a helicopter ride on the last leg of the Race, IIRC, so I think the use of helicopters is quite deliberate, Peach. Just to throw that additional thought in.

TARFansurvivor:
I do not think it is fair if there is a Fastforward and an Intersection on the same leg. If we have two teams going after the Fastforward and one team waiting at the Intersection for the team there loses the battle for the Fastforward. For me if should be if you loses the battle for the Fastforward, then you have a lot of catch up to do. Not have one team waiting for you at the intersection, so you can battle with them not to get eliminated!!!! :duno: :duno: :duno: :duno:

georgiapeach:
We have NO proof for either a FF or an Intersection. ALL is spec only.

Although the FF fits the info we have:

--- Quote ---Two Teams hit the hay to see how well they stack up

--- End quote ---
And that neither Dave/Rachel OR Danny/Joey are seen after the Fire Tower.

The eliminated teams have been getting a fair bit of visibility in the promos up to now. It is odd to have a team we think may be eliminated have NO visibility at all.  What I don't understand is why if J/D go for the (presumed) FF and can't do it...why don't we see them later doing a challenge? Are they so far behind that they don't even get to try the tasks? Do we have a in the field elim by Phil?? Does something ELSE happen?? If the time shadows would be so late that would give them away that would be one thing....but in the capsule shots would be time free.

And I do NOT believe there is an Intersection...fwiw.

Glamazon Racer:
Intersection seems unlikely to me, although how amazingly funny would it be if the seventh-placed team gets to the Intersection, sees that there is nobody there waiting for them, and realises that they are forced to go complete the Fast Forward! :lol3: That would be interesting, for sure!
