Just because that is what the editors chose to highlight, doesn't mean that is why the choreographer failed her. From what various people said, we know the routine was something greater than 90 seconds, of which we saw maybe five seconds worth of any given racer's attempt.
Rachel leaping high into the air with enthusiasm was probably more visually interesting than whatever irked the choreographer during her first attempt.
