I think TAR12 used the High Speed Rail while in Taiwan, but definitely not in Japan. I'm not sure if it is the same thing (I know very little about the railway systems of Japan :cmaslol ) and I don't know which one is faster, but I also want to see the Bullet Train in TAR20! :cmas16

The Shinkansen line from Osaka to Tokyo accommodates up to 270 km/hr speed. The High Speed Rail line from Taipei to Kaohsiung is much newer and has speeds up to 315 km/hr. It's close, but Taiwan gets the nod.
