The car right behind them is the Mustang. Cathi is holding a Route Info but the task is looking likely to be a Roadblock. And Bill is already suited up, so this is probably just as they've parked up ready to leave the circuit. So I'm guessing that the guy in the background is simply the safety driver, and he's just finished walking around the car to enter the driver's side in order to take the car somewhere else.
