Salta is in Northern Argentina in the foothills of the Andes and is Argentina's 8th largest city with about 475,000 people. This one intrigues me. According to her blog, Kristen is on a two month trip (so far) across South America.

This one just feels right, even though it's vague enough to be a local race. She never has responded to my tweet asking for more info, but she has sent other tweets. Someone else has just asked about what she saw, so maybe that will get a response.

I've been digging for any possible information from Salta that I can find, but so far no luck. Maybe in the next day or two if we're lucky.
