The writer seems to think that it is the tv show. But Seattle and Toronto have a skill like no other city for fake sightings.

And anymore I can't imagine a sighting coming up on the internet before some of the detectives knew it was about to start.

Maybe not for TAR20, but I would be shocked - SHOCKED - if we didn't get any of either the PIIGS countries or the Arab Spring countries by the end of TAR21, given how important tourism income are going to be to both. Greece and Italy probably aren't too likely, and it'll probably depend on where in Spain they'd be planning, but Portugal is definitely possible.

As for Arab Spring countries, Tunisia is the most likely, obviously, between being it's where the movement began, how relatively safe it is, and the tenth-anniversary feel (which I know is this season, but whatever).
