I don't think that proves anything to be honest. The pool closing was in production's interests for a couple of reasons:

1) To get both Abbie & Ryan and Brent & Josh to the Pit Stop quicker so Phil can get moving.
2) They may have been worried about classifying the two teams if they'd actually jumped on the mat at the same time, especially if James & Abba had found their passports and checked in fourth. Who would they give the speed bump to? Giving the goat farmers a 4 hour penalty forced the two teams apart.

I'm really not one for conspiracy theories Joab!

But saying that the woman decided to unexpectedly close her pool without production's permission is a little naive.
