--- Quote from: Prophet on December 15, 2011, 01:38:09 PM ---The real trouble with Beijing is that there was not enough time from arrival in Qatar to have a leg there then leave for China. And there is absolutely no sense in using Doha as a connection to get from Katmandu to Beijing.

But this person claims to be a BB superfan and to have gotten their autographs so it's hard to discredit the sighting. Maybe Brenchel was being rerouted back to the States because they were eliminated in Nepal?

NVM that^ she claimed to be traveling from Doha to Beijing (which seems to confirm the other sighting there) and that there were "cameramen in black" with them. I don't know...

--- End quote ---

Claiming that she got an autograph is just that, a claim, and not anything that adds more credibility to the witness. She also claimed that the Qatari stewardesses were wearing face coverings. I googled up pictures of Qatar Airline stewardesses and none of them were wearing face coverings. A few had scarves wrapped around their necks but none had their faces covered. I remain skeptical of this sighting.

--- Quote from: Leafsfan on December 15, 2011, 02:54:27 PM ---Maybe teams went from Europe to Nepal to Qatar and now South Africa. Probably leg 11 occurs in Latin America (like the last two editions have) and then final leg in the USA.

--- End quote ---

I don't really agree with that one... they did their first 2, maybe 3 legs in Latin America. I don't think they'd go back there again at the end of the race.

This one's a long shot, but if South Africa is true, what are the odds of them possibly going from South Africa to New Zealand? I honestly can't see them doing another "great circle" route like TAR7 when they're zig-zagging across the Equator like they've been doing. New Zealand seems like a logical choice. They haven't gone there since TAR13, and Phil has said the best thing the world can do for New Zealand after the Christchurch earthquake is to keep visiting and helping the tourism industry. I know that'd be a long plane from South Africa, but it's better than just making a figure-8 across Eurasia and calling it a race.  :cmas5

I know we still speculating with the Durban Girl, but hey guys...

maybe we can consider this as a choice... What an HD looking City and Landscape...

Durban's Coastline

1. Durban Museum(s): There are several, but one of them could be good for shooting, Natural Science Museum and Court House Museum

--- Quote from: ZouLy on December 15, 2011, 02:19:34 PM ---
RT tamlyncanham: yes, they were looking 4 clues at the museum

--- End quote ---

2. Durban's ICC (International Conference Centre) as what it said on the sighting:

--- Quote from: ZouLy on December 15, 2011, 02:19:34 PM ---
RT @tamlyncanham @ovalorange1 they were looking 4 clues at the museum,
spotted running near the ICC. It's not an SA version, just 1 of the stops.

--- End quote ---
