Dutch Mole - New series with English subtitles!

<< < (8/37) > >>

SuperTux:
OK, they finally earned some money in the pot. :lol3:

I don't think Dio's gameplay was smart. :groan: The Mole wouldn't sabotage the game in his way. According to this episode in the test he probably focused on Hadewych, the #1 suspect in my eyes before this season premiered. Seems I was wrong again? :duno:

By far I think Anne-Marie is not the Mole. For other contestants there's always a chance.

P.S. Is there any ratings/share info of this season? Wondering how many Dutch people are watching it. :)

Topita:
Not that sure about Anne-Marie myself sofar tbh.  :lol3:
We've had Moles like that before i.e. seeming to be standing out yet people wavering on it, thinking it was 'too obvious' or 'no it can't be them'
On the other hand we had subtle moles and very unlikely, unsuspected moles too,,
For the time being I'd say her edit suggests she isn't the mole since it's leading. But then again who knows since we did have other moles being obvious or put in the spotlight in some ways before too... (That's how the show still survived here ;-))

As for ratings I think the official count was near or went to 2 million or over (with adjustment of repeats and online viewing too I think which was quite good for Dutch standards)

The initial viewercount was near 1,9 million I think.
(As we are a small country of some 16 million inhabitants, those tv-ratings are pretty good respectively).

In any case lots of people in the Netherlands are watching and debating about it.  ;)
If you like you can check out the official forum or one of the main fan forums where people keep debating till deep into the night even at times..  :lol3:

ETA:
About Dio, I need to add one more thing.
His diary and exit interview on the radio made clear they only approached him 1 day before they left to Iceland.
I guess someone else had to cancel very last-minute??
So he didn't have the chance to prepare..

Nonetheless his personality shines through in all interviews and twitters especially.
I never thought he would be the mole and ruled him out for several reasons in advance.
But the thing I find most disturbing is that he didn't care...
I liked his sense of humor but really he didn't seem to give a f*ck.. No offense but not even trying to climb some stairs??
Where's your head at boy??
Dio may not have know what he got himself into but he did it nonetheless for 'fame' or his resume or whatever. He definitely wasn't cut out for the game, nor in any way living up to it.

A deserved second exit imo in spite of what he brought to the group.
People coming into the game and not willing to actually play it (i.e. without strategy for whatever reason) deserve to be out imo.  ;)

@SuperTux

I think this is still before adjustments wrt online viewers and viewers watching the re-run.
These are the 'sec' viewers on the time it's broadcasted.
These are the tv broadcastings over all Dutch tv Networks by an independant organisation.
So this is an overview of the ratings of the whole day of both public and commercial nerworks  :)

Thursday January 5th (epi 1)

(Journaal  = the news, always ranking very high/at the top  ;) )

Thursday January 12th:

Hope it answers any questions you had on the matter.  ;)

Aha, you just remind me of some CBS shows (Survivor, TAR, etc). Some fans now have got the ability to distinguish the winner after watching 4 or 5 episodes. CBS has to be cleverer. :lol3:

Wonderful ratings! 1.9 million, so we can round it up to 2 million. 2/16=12.5%.

There are over 300 million people in America. 300 million*12.5%=37.5 million. I don't think there's any TV series (even NFL games) in America that's able to get so many viewers in every episode.

Oh, "f*ck", another reminder. It cracked me up when contestants spoke out F words. Seems Dutch TV doesn't have bleep censor?

P.S. What does "tijd" means in the two pictures you presented? ???

Yeah it fluctuates a little but last years series got  I think between 1.8 million to well over 2 million, this year's series appears to be doing very well too judging by the initial ratings.

:lol3:
True we don't. We do have rules about when certain things can or can't be aired or when something has strong violent scenes or graphic sexual scenes there's a logo and/ or warning before it starts to warn parents. But no bleeps, no.
F*ck happens to be a word that many of my compatriots adopt freely though I myself only use it in times of frustration when nobody else is involved, I would hate to offend anybody.  ;)

'Tijd' = 'time'.
We don't measure time in AM and PM here.
So 8.32 PM = 20.32 o'clock here in terms of digital indication of time, we indicate it in 24-hour intervals.  :)

By the way: Each time the test starts you can hear the host's voice-over say 'tijd voor de test' i.e. 'time for the test'.  :sab
