I'm not sure what you mean by "Leg 3 curse". This may be a term that I am simply unfamiliar with. However, from what I surmise, I assume that this has something to do with the fact that Andy & Tommy have won three consecutive legs. Nick & Starr and Meghan & Cheyne have done four in a row, and if there is no 'bunch-up point', I see no reason preventing Andy & Tommy from doing so as well.

Leg 3 curse is the curse that a team that wins Leg 3, will not win the race.

Wow - thanks for pointing that out for me! I have never actually noticed that before, and it is a rather weird curse.

I have a suspicion that Andy & Tommy will dominate the race but will fail to win the twelfth leg. They are my favourite all-male team since Nicolas & Donald from TAR12 and Mark & Bill from TAR13, so I would be happy if they could pulll off the victory, but for some reason, I think the 'Leg 3 Curse' will live on.

No, I think the grandparents are out next.  At the mat  (not knowing it is a NEL), they said they don't want to come in 7th again at the next pit stop. I think they WILL switch placements, but move down to 8th.
