2. It's a reward for winning the first leg
3. It's a route info task
4. It's a Hazard task

I'd say all of those are likely except for number two because of the Express Pass. But that's JMO.
Great work with the summary and gifs, banzai!

Awesome job banzai!! :jumpy:
The mustangs have been driving me nuts...everything in all the previews can be localized to either the first or second episode...so where do these fit in?
I think a HAZARD task in Taipei or Yogyakarta may be the best explanation.
What do you all think about this?? There is a LOT of wheel spinning in our previews...
DRIFTING: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Drifting_(motorsport)
--- Quote ---Drifting is refers to a driving technique and to a motorsport where the driver intentionally over steers, causing loss of traction in the rear wheels through turns, while maintaining vehicle control and a high exit speed. A car is drifting when the rear slip angle is greater than the front slip angle prior to the corner apex, and the front wheels are pointing in the opposite direction to the turn (e.g. car is turning left, wheels are pointed right or vice versa), and the driver is controlling these factors. As a motor sport, professional drifting competitions are held worldwide.

From the number of vids on YouTube about this in Taiwan...seems like a sport known there...and maybe popular?

ROADBLOCK INFO: Confucious symbol of Knowledge: Use public phone to dial information ( must borrow a phone card from local or purchase one) and get word of knowledge, tell what you hear to a monk. SOURCE

Roadblock?

Yes.It's the public phone in the Confucius temple. And that's why they need a phone card.
georgiapeach:
Perfect!! I was going to ask you to check it out!! Mystery solved!
Now...about those Ford Mustangs...have you ever heard of a place to do drifting?? ???
papaya:
I have not heard popular and legal places for people to do drifting in Taipei. Its loud noise might be infamous, so people who like this can just do it at the parking lot in mountains. There are fewer cars and fewer people at night, so they can use the parking lot to do drifting. However, I don't think it's legal.
