This is Ethan's 3rd time battling cancer. I have complete faith he will have it beat in no time.

It sounds as if they found it really early, and this time the type of treatment ought to be able to hunt down cancer cells that can't otherwise be detected. And the stem cell treatment would regenerate the systems in Ethan's body that are affected.
Do you realize how much cancer treatment has advanced in this past decade? Hopefully, this third round will be the charm, and Ethan won't have any more problems with cancer.
