Can anyone in China with a TV and an antenna receive Dragon TV, or is it a cable or satellite station that you have to pay for?

Everyone in China with a TV can receive Dragon TV. It's free.

This channel broadcasts nationwide, just like CCTV in China, or NBC/ABC/CBS in America.

But ICS can only be received by people living in Shanghai. So no doubt the ratings/share data of China Rush on ICS is 0/0 for each episode.

SuperTux:
Ratings/Share for Episode 3 on Dragon TV (nationwide): 0.08   0.07/0.57  Modified by Prof. on Ratings in Baidu

Ratings for Episode 3 on ICS (in Shanghai only): 0.1

Ratings rose a little.

Except they have one of the best streaming vids I have ever seen. I get ICS better than I can CBS most weeks and I am NO where near Shanghai!!

I hope this is well publicized in China...I know it dioesn't help ratings but it is a wonderful thing.

Really? I can hardly watch ICS online here in China... Watch for 5 seconds and then wait for 10 seconds for buffering... We fans here are protesting

I haven't taken a notice of ads for China Rush 2 on Dragon TV... Some fans in Baidu Postbar say that Dragon TV didn't take this show seriously initially, but there have been more ads after the premiere. Besides, EP2 seemed more exciting than EP1, which could also account for the better ratings on EP3.

Chinese fans predict lower ratings for the following episode because many Chinese people didn't seem to enjoy EP3. They think this episode showed something dark in one's personality. :lol3:

Anyway, since it's ICS not Dragon TV that holds the copyright, I don't think ratings on Dragon TV means a lot for renewal :)

SuperTux:
Plus, 0.1 could be seen as "quite good" ratings for ICS in Shanghai.
