TARAus 1 Episode 3 (China) Episode Discussion *SPOILERS*

IMHO, Sam & Renae used the express pass wisely. Sam started the roadblock at the front of the pack but seemed to take numerous attempt, all of which failed. She seemed a bit flustered (possibly also due to losing time on going what they thought was the wrong way to the RB, going back to the casino, getting a new taxi and going the exact same way - it was infact the right way) and with only two other teams left still at the RB they handed it over. Although they didn't know both remaining teams would take the penalty, it was to me, the right choice to make as it saved their butts from potential elimination.

I thought it was a good move too however if they had battled it out they may have been able to keep it for a more physical task. Kelly and Sam where working together however I don't know what happened to that alliance
BayBay:
Also in terms of the last two teams:
I think that Mos and Mo genuinely could not work it out and opted to take the risk that the ladies will take longer than 4 hours or also give up. With the Big W ladies, I think they are genuinely thought that if they keep trying not only will they continue straining themselves but also get the boys out and potentially go themselves next week. So I think it was a selfless sacrifice.
RichInSydney:
Is there any rule for a roadblock that states they can't find help from the public to solve the answer to the Zodiac puzzle? Couldn't one member try find a member of the public for the answer?

I think it was terrible use of the pass. They still had two teams behind them, both of which they would have been confident they could have outrun in a worst case scenario. If there was only one of them left, then it would have been a wise move, but at the point they used the EP, they certainly weren't looking to pull away and get first for the leg prize, and because there is so little fundamental difference between number 7 and number 8 I think it was silly. You want to use it to either ensure first place or avoid last place, and they failed on both accounts.
