Maybe we just need to ignore the post. Honestly, I think everyone is making mountains out of molehills here and trying to find underlying meanings that are most likely innocent and not the true intentions of the poster. Lets not use up anymore more time and space picking apart someones final 3 speculation, We have more important things to pick apart, like previews, promo's, screencaps!

They are making a chocolate MOLD. They use the ice mold of the gnome to paint on the different colors of warmed chocolate, which hardens and makes a shell. When finished, the ice part will melt out from inside and leave a hollow chocolate mold of the Travelocity gnome. The ice mold was made in a plastic mold which is lying on the table behind Zev I think.
