Jobby:
I didn't like Kent and Vyxsin and Cara and Jaime the first time round.. and as C/J got eliminated today, i felt sad... i wished they got to stay and we get an exciting pit-stop sprint elimination between Z/J and Ron/Chris... with Z/J getting eliminated..

JETandCORDfan:
It seems like every team has changed their team attitude. I don't see the same attitude that I saw in their first seasons.

But I think that they change their attitude to see if they can setup something for their second chance.

Sorry to see the Cheerleaders go, but they did a nice job.

Ruth:
The teams are probably getting different edits this season based on how far they go. Since Jaime and Cara were eliminated early, there wasn't much of a nasty side of theirs to show. But then again, even with Jaime constantly yelling about everything in the previous season, I still really liked this team!

I liked Kent and Vyxsin a lot in Season 12, but not that much now. Maybe because there're other more likable teams this season. We'll have to see as the season proceeds!

Yeah, I wish that Gary and Mallory would have finished in first after using the Express Pass. But come to think of it, 2nd place isn't too shabby. Jill and Thomas used the Express Pass last season and finished in fifth.

And I love it that there aren't any concrete spoilers after the 5th leg. It remains to be seen who'll be eliminated next. I'm excited!

theschnauzers:
It's for gaps in filming spoilers like we're facing until the next to last leg that a look at teams' overall performance may offer some indication of what may happen.

When I computed and ordered the placement average rankings for this week, Kent and Vxysen are having a terrible season, with an average placement over the first 5 legs of 7.6000, and Ron and Christina aren't doing much better, averaging 6.4000.
Except for Gary and Mallory, who are averaging 3.4000 so far, the other teams are clustered between 4.0000 and 4.8000. There's some movement going on both ways among those top 6 teams, but this is just a snapshot. Based on what's happened in the past, Kent and Vxysen and Ron and Christina are most likely to be among the next two eliminations, but Zev and Justin, with two consecutive 8th place finishes, could also be among the high-danger group.

I thought this was a very important leg in terms of game play. There was a lot going on, in addition to it being a second leg without a rest period. The double U-Turn, the revelation that a U-Turned team could U-Turn another team, the use of the Express Pass, the penalty assessed on Kent-Vxysen for not using the mandatory flight from Tokyo to Kunming, were all in play, not to mention the usual shifting of team order due to an unbalanced detour (I think the solar heat panel was probably the faster task; at lease Jet and Cord may it look that way) and the physically demanding roadblock for teams not used to the altitude of the Kunming area, and you have the recipe for a complex leg that provided much room for shifting of the placement order.

I have to say that after their good start, Zev and Justin really struggled on these last two legs. Meanwhile, other teams (Jet and Cord, Gary and Mallory, and Margie and Luke) had a good time in China, and the Cowboys are showing the same competitive form they had in their original season, getting into a groove after the first couple of legs, and their uncanny ability to get through tasks very quickly allowing them to make up time.

... or the other way around. Jaime and Cara said that according to them, this was the easiest task they have encountered in either races.
