Top 24 !

The top 24 have been selected. Next week there will be three shows starting on March 1st, 2011. The guys will perform on Tuesday, the girls on Wednesday and results will be announced on Thursday. The guys were taped yesterday and Casey Abrams checked out of the hospital and performed but apparently he did not appear when the guys first came on stage, appeared exhausted and left the stage a few times, however reports from the taping say he got a standing "O" for his performance as did Paul McDonald and  Jacob Lusk. All three were hits with the audience.

No, it was taped. I'm thinking they taped to control the time. With twenty four contestants it probably takes a lot of time to bring them on, set up the mic's, get the judges comments. They have a new stage and more space for the audience this year and apparently they were still building the set.
