Let's start with "It's more expensive than a 11 or 12 leg race." Next is the fact that, with the same number of teams, it will cause one additional NEL. Who needs another useless leg? World Race Productions frequently schedules Amazing Races to end close to major holidays, so not extending the number of days to run an Amazing Race is a plus for teams and for WRP staff.

In fact, it was the last season with 13 legs. Since TAR12, all the season had 11 (with double legs) or 12 of it.

How much money do non-winning teams receive? I assume of course it depends on your order of elimination. How many get some? Top five? More?
