Just remembered that I was extremely disappointed that there was no question asking if I got on camera. :knuckles:
I very seriously thought about it, but since I don't know what you look like I had no way to judge, of course that was before you circled your location in the various shots...

It's good to see that everything is worked out now.

Congrats to first time player ovalorange!   :gj:

Proud to be part of the ten who beat peach!  :box:

Actually, Orange played last season. I remember them winning their first leg they joined.

Great job Calibound!  :jam:

Yeah, I won the first leg last season, which was my first time playing. That was the best fluke I've ever had :P
That was skill, pure skill.

I know this is a bit late, I hope these can be answered in time. I hope you're ready for some lovely nitty gritty queries about the questions this week mswood  :lol3:

9. (10 Points) - Which team is first to reach the first route marker for this leg of the race?
Gary & Mallory
Kisha & Jen
Amanda & Kris
Zev & Justin
Flight Time & Big Easy
Jaime & Cara
Margie & Luke
Ron & Christina
Mel & Mike
Kent & Vyxsin
Jet & Cord

10. (5 Points) - Are Gary & Mallory ever awarded 1st place on the new leg?
Yes
No

19. (5 Points) - Do Jet & Cord check into the 2nd Pit Stop in the order they arrive at the Mat?
Yes
No
There isn't two Pit Stop in this episode
Jet & Cord are eliminated at the 1st Pit Stop

Just a few questions...

Question 9: Does the route marker count as the clue received by teams from Phil at the mat at Shelley beach, The first team to sign up for the planes to Broken Hill or the first clue opened in Broken Hill?

Question 10: Leg is classified as start to finish of an episode to the point where teams are checked in... so if Gary and Mallory are shown as "Currently in first place" on the mat at Shelley Beach, does this count as this leg? They haven't offically embarked on leg 1B, but it's part of the episode. If that makes sense.  :colors

Question 19: Just to be a pain in the butt, a pit stop is classified as checking in... teams don't check in in Sydney. You got that part of the question down. However, you list the question as "Do Jet & Cord check into the 2nd Pit Stop in the order they arrive at the Mat?" If Shelley Beach isn't the pitstop (teams don't check in), then the leg 1 pitstop is this episode (episode 2) and the leg 2 pitstop is in some other random country on episode 3 - not for this weeks questions.

I think thats why the option for not having 2 pit stops this episode is in the answers.

I would go with the intention here or we will all end up insane.
Teams sorta check in...Phil says...you are team # 6 or whatever...there is a MAT and a greeter....the only thing is they keep on racing. This is new territory...a neverending PitStop. :o

So mentally I am substituting "that place where Phil, the MAT, and the greeter were" for the word PitStop.

But I could be nuts too, what mswood says goes.

I am taking it to essentially mean "do any teams pass Jet & Cord in between them arriving at the Pit Stop and checking in?"

Basically, I think its asking us if we think there will be a Marked for Elimination.

That's how I am reading it...as in do they get any penalties that allow another team to pass them.

Phil calls this a pit stop. At the start he says "The first team to check in to the pit stop at the end of this first leg of the race, will win the express pass.". Gary & Mallory got the express pass on Shelly beach so that is counted as a pit stop.

I would call this a normal leg which ended with a pit stop and then the next leg starts immediately without any rest. When the cowboys check in we get to know if this a non-elimination leg or not.

You mean do they get any kind of penalty at the BH pitstop? Because that is not how I read it at all. I did not answer it thinking that that was what it meant.

Ovalorange

Good questions.

1.  Route markers for clarity are clues that are general (Fast Forward, Detour, Roadblock, U-Turn, and Intersections are not route markers) and usually are to get teams from point A to point B.

They are usually in clueboxes along the race, but Phil does hand out one to each team at the beginning of a new leg.

***But the question isn't who is given or who gets the first route marker of the leg, but who reaches it.  Meaning this question does not refer to Phil handing out a clue, unless he does so at some point after teams are released from the Pit Stop and before reaching the next Pit Stop.

Sign up sheets are not Route markers....  (though teams can be given route markers clues when departing or getting to a sign up sheet).

2.  If Gary & Mallory are shown in any footage of the new leg then it yes would count.  And since I use "leg" footage of them with "currently first place after Phil hands them their clue would absolutely count.

3.  Since Phil mentions live on race footage (not edited voice over in Post) that Shelley Beach was in fact a Pit Stop.  For the purpose of this game that was indeed the first Pit Stop of the race.  The next Pit Stop, who knows.

DIng correct answer, or if they receive some other time penalty, ect...

That was it's intent.  We know that Jet & Cord are going to be last to check into the Pit Stop at Shelley Beach (and since its called a Pit Stop live during the race, multiple times then it absolutely a Pit Stop.

The question is basically a follow up to what type of penalty (if there is one at all) will Jet & Cord receive.  They could do a speedbump, they could have a time penalty, or hell their may be nothing.

And of course their is always the chance that they did something wrong, and have to go back out on the race, or that they followed a clue wrong and have to wait out a general time penalty.

On question 20 about the HDTV is there a "right" answer? Also I am confused as to the right and left sides of the Detour and how on earth we are supposed to predict that.
Prophet

The reason I didn't respond to this is that everyone beat me to it with the correct answers.

Anytime I ask a bonus question its just me wanting to get some general info from people, likes, dislikes that sort of thing.  And since I know Peach doesn't have HD, I was curious who else that applied to.

And the right side, left side, is just how the show displays which detour.  And yeah its basically a stab in the dark.  Since the detectives often figure out detour options and how many people do what task it makes it harder to pick questions that they have no idea of.  Basically leveling the playing field to those who don't live and breathe spoilers.

I probably wont use that same question again until the final four or three.  Instead might use which detour option is the left side or right side.

11. (15 Points) - Which team is first to reach their next clue after their flight?
Gary & Mallory
Kisha & Jen
Amanda & Kris
Zev & Justin
Flight Time & Big Easy
Jaime & Cara
Margie & Luke
Ron & Christina
Mel & Mike
Kent & Vyxsin
Jet & Cord

Hmmm, i think there could be two answer? Since there are two flights so it may refer to two teams.. as long they're the first to reach the first team to reach their clue after their flight?

I read it as, "Which team is the first to get off a flight (any flight) and get a clue?"
"I defy you to come up with a better name than Seven!"
"Alright... how 'bout Mug? Mug Costanza!"

Yea, but there's another similar question below which is specifically for teams on the second flight who will get their next clue. I think mswood meant this question to be the first team to get their clue after the first flight.. No?

But for now.. i'm definitely reading this as what you're reading!

Since my wording sucked, first from either flight will be accepted on this question.

I had in fact meant first flight but did not state that.
