TAR 17 Ep 7 " I Want To Be In The Circus, That's Where I Belong!" (Russia)

--- Quote from: Levi Rinno on November 05, 2010, 06:48:26 PM ---I think Nick & Vicki, now that all the cannon fodder teams (and the stronger, but screwed Katie & Rachel) are gone, are pretty much Dandrewing or Brian & Ericka-ing their way through the race -- getting by only because someone makes a more egregious error than they do.  But unlike either of those teams, they don't see it unjustly rewarded with a F3 finish.

--- End quote ---

I like to call those kinds of teams cockroaches. This term was coined by Karlyn of Lyn and Karlyn in season 10 referring to themselves. They too went to the F3, anybody remember them or that quote?

Prophet:
I had forgotten that that was actually the title of an episode in season 10. It is the F4 leg of that year and is the leg with the famous tomato throwing task in Spain.

--- Quote ---Teams are clowning around when they learn a traditional Russian circus act, but it's no joke when multiple teams make a critical error and misread a clue, jeopardizing their positions in the Race on the next episode of The Amazing Race.
--- End quote ---

So the critical error appears to happen during the circus challenge?

Zack.:

--- Quote ---Well, it doesn't specifically say that Gary & Mallory are the team that goes home.  All it says is that Gary & Mallory and Michael & Kevin weren't spotted beyond St. Petersburg.  Thus one of those two teams head for Elimination Station after St. Petersburg.  However, there are rumors that Michael & Kevin were doing a decoy run in South Korea, which indicates that they didn't go to Elimination Station.
--- End quote ---

TPTB can and have changed the number of teams that do decoy runs for whatever reason - Mel/Mike went to Sequesterville (though that was because they were *right* there) in TAR 14, and Marisa/Brooke did decoy runs in Portland in TAR 13. Geographically, it makes sense that they continue, but (and I think this goes for a lot of our spec based on spoilers) WRP can/will/and have changed protocol often.
Irregular pit stops. Random forced trasport, often inefficient. Airline connections through specified cities. NEL structure. More isolated task areas (though this season they're a lot better in that respect) - I don't think we can simply rely on precedent alone nowadays :(

(With all that said, Gary/Mallory are my pick for the boot  :'( )

That could be true Peach, but that pesky little comma in there makes me think it is a different event.
