Regarding Thailand: I found the neighbouring village of Pang Daeng Nai (99°02'06"E, 19°20'49"N) by comparing an ethnographic paper's sketch to Google Earth; and going by a rough map on another scholastic journal, I think I have the location (99°01'06"E, 19°20'58"N) of Pang Daeng Nok!

I actually tried to see if I could pick up a location by seeing where the other venues in that long-ago leg were, but Google didn't seem to agree on the spelling; I knew it wouldn't be easy because as I remember the episode, the road teams traveled on to that village was a dirt road. So if you managed to find it, that is excellent!
